RWR Letter: Waterhose in the Rain?

So, I’m sure a huge majority could state they are not their significant others 1st love or 1st date. In this year of 2016 a lot of us are in “blended families.” It’s like the new norm nowadays.

This lady has come to tell us a story that she encountered with her significant other’s ex-wife. We have to accept and understand the ex’s will give calls regarding children, unsolved financial issues, taxes, and I’m sure a host of things, but this one caught her by surprise.

One great afternoon while the couple was enjoying themselves on a lazy Sunday – her significant other’s ex-wife called and stated she needed to get the waterhose for the lawn and did he happen to take it. He informed her that he was not sure if he had it, but was unable to check at this time, but would get back to her. The Ex, insisted that she needed to get a return call soon, or to come by and bring it because she needed it. When he got off the phone with his ex, he told his lady that was his ex-wife and she was calling to find out if he had the waterhose. Well, she thought she must be be the only one crazy because as they were enjoying this lazy Sunday, it was also pouring raining outside. The side-eye has emerged! As we know, there was questions after questions, of which he really didn’t care to answer, or seem to even worry that it was raining outside and just maybe her call wasn’t about a waterhose.

Our friend who we will call “Ms. Side-eye” just wanted to hear if anyone else thought there was something really strange about calling with urgency for a waterhose and it was raining, or is she that person who thinks “you can piss me on call it rain.”

Give this sista your real opinions, or just share a “side-eye” with her.

#RWRLetters, this is real we can’t make this up!

RWR Saturday Sisterhood Session

Let’s face it and keep it real! Not everyone is going to love or like us. Not everyone is going to support our businesses or even “get” what we do…But that doesn’t give us reason to “throw shade” or disrespect each other.

We’re going to have a mature conversation and share REAL LIFE incidents when we feel “shade” was thrown and why. Have you thrown shade and why?

After disecting “the shade” we’re looking for positive solutions and mindset changes. When we love and respect ourselves we want the same in return, but we have to realize not everyone is there. I’m a proponet of “meeting people where they are at” as long as I don’t have to meet them in an “unhealthy space.”

***LIVE TAPING*** Sometimes, you have to keep it “real” real to get to the true problems.

RWR Testimonial: It has given me a true since of sisterhood!

RWR is just as it says to me: Real Women Revealed! Since becoming a part of Real Women Revealed I have met amazing and outstanding women. It has given me a true since of sisterhood.  I attended the Real Women Revealed Conference back in March 2016 and have been a fan ever since! The conference had so many great speakers with a lot of valuable and informative  information. Real women Revealed has something for all ages young and older.  Real Women Revealed gives women a voice.  I feel a since of real sisterhood. Sharing our life experiences with other gives you a true bond.  Real Women Revealed is the true definition of sisterhood!  I am so glad I met Audrey and Tamara  They welcomed me in the sisterhood with open arms. You have to experience one of the sisterhood sessions where we talk about our life experiences from motherhood, careers, marriage and education to get the true meaning of sisterhood and what Real women Revealed is about.  I can’t say enough good things about Real women Revealed. Come and experience it for yourselves. You won’t be disappointed.  I am a big supporter and advocate of Real Women Revealed.

RWR – Community Support Award

If you know Lizz, you know she’s probably out supporting a community event; sharing our events through her social media networks; or talking about how we should support community organizations. Her focus seems to always be on “how can I support.” Support comes in many ways; it’s not just about financial support; but authentic human support in whatever capacity that we are able to support. That’s exactly what Lizz does. We are thankful to individuals like Lizz Woody in our community who represent Community. You Rock Lizz! ‪#‎CommunitySupportAward‬

2nd Annual Celebration of Women in Phoenix

Nothing warms my heart more than being connected with our community! Real Women Revealed, LLC has partnered with many women support agencies and community organizations in Phoenix to assure that this Summit is geared towards assisting the women who may never have an opportunity to attend a women’s empowerment summit/conference due to many reasons and one huge reason is financial means.

As women we all need a boost of women empowerment from time to time. We have women in our community who are not afforded the opportunity to attend wonderful events and gala’s because their main focus is keeping food on the table, or making sure their children have their necessities for school and etc. Though, many would love to attend it’s just not in their budget to do so.

It is one of the duties of RWR, LLC to provide empowerment opportunities to women in our community. We look forward to a great afternoon luncheon with some very empowering; Intelligent; and motivating Women who will lead our Celebration of Women with an energetic fire that will last throughout the year. If you are not able to make the conference think about sponsoring a woman or women who you really think could benefit from this event but may not have the financial means to do so.

It’s a Celebration and that’s what we will be doing. Big shout out to the American Legion Post 65 for being an instrumental partner in making sure we are connecting with women in the community.

After the Celebration we plan on staying for a great Happy Hour on the Legion.

RWR in Training Mentoring Program

This program is near and dear to my heart. I believe it is vital for all women (young and seasoned) to have a non-judgmental supportive sisterhood network, where you can be true blue.

Not all of us women have been blessed to have terrific sisterhood support systems. Some of us grew up with great mothers, aunts, sisters, grandmothers, neighbors, teachers, & etc to mentor us along the way. We understand because of those mentors how it has shaped us into the women we are today.

Just think, if you were never afforded that. The difficulties and struggles that you had along the way; how you had to figure out some things just a little harder than others. Imagine if you had that supportive group and how well you could have developed sisterhood friendships. Although, mistakes and life hiccups develop us, so understanding those hiccups makes us grow.

With this understanding that is why I feel I must reach back and mentor young girls and young adult women; to be able to assist those that may not have that positivity in their life. What’s also true is that sometimes young folks just need to hear it from someone else. Their parents probably advised them on some of the same information and resources that we will provide but having another voice can also help. .

Much Love, Peace, and Blessings!

FOCUSED ON LIFE!

When you’re focused you don’t pay attention to the negative forces (i.e. people, situations, frenemies, haters, and etc). Life is always going to be challenging and to be in unhealthy situations makes it even more challenging but as I always say “control the controllables.” If you find yourself in a negative or unhealthy situation remove yourself or work on fixing the problem if it’s in your control. If it’s not in your control then pray and God will work it out! (But pray anyway & always)

Life makes us who we are today. I appreciate life and appreciate the ups and downs that have gotten me to this point. So, when you feel that you are getting off track (as we all do at times) remember stay FOCUSED, on whatever that is that brings you joy and happiness!

Much Love, Peace, & Blessings
