AUDREY BELL-JENKINS ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR CITY COUNCIL DISTRICT 5 CITY OF PHOENIX
Pledges to Bring Community Empowerment, Workforce Development Experience, and Sound Judgment, to District 5 – City of Phoenix
Phoenix, Arizona – Thursday July 19, 2018, – Audrey Bell-Jenkins of Phoenix, President & Founder of Real Women Revealed, LLC; Co-Director of House of Miracles, Inc.; City of Phoenix Human Services Commissioner; Community Development Block Grant Member; Recipient of “Women Empowering Women Award, presented by Mayor Greg Stanton and the City of Phoenix Women’s Commission, submitted her Declaration of Candidacy for the City of Phoenix City Council District 5.
“I am pleased and honored to announce my candidacy for City Council District 5 of Phoenix, AZ. As a Human Services Advocate it has been and will continue to be my mission to assist individuals, my community and my district to function as effectively as possible. I’ve been an intricate part in leading, serving, and partnering with major community organizations to assist the community’s needs including: workforce development; women empowerment; homelessness; transitional living; and economic empowerment. I have gained an understanding of the complexities within our communities.
“The primary and most important role for the City Council District 5 City of Phoenix to be an advocate for the people of District 5. There will be many issues that will come before us in this election, such as: economic empowerment, workforce development, and education just to name a few to strengthen our community foundations.”
“Secondly, I will be a valued candidate for District 5 City of Phoenix, because my experience, skills, and perspectives gained from years of human service work within the Phoenix community.
“If we want our communities to thrive and attract strong partnerships with companies it must include: education; safety within our neighborhoods; and residents must know they are valued & that they trust their community will bring them value.
“I look forward to a positive and healthy campaign, building rapport with the residents, and tackling the challenges within the district.”
