WOMEN: Can We Really Get Along?

WOMEN: Can We Really Get Along?

Most of the Reality TV Shows – show women in a negative manner and that we just can’t get along.

We are never going to agree on everything even if we are BFF’s  It’s just not realistic to view every situation the same or have the same passions as our sister’s but our differences should not make us enemies but our different strengths should make us Powerful!!!

Don’t be unsupportive just because you don’t understand your sister’s motivation or you just don’t have the motivation to do what she does. We each have been given a gift. We should share in our different gifts and appreciate what we have to offer to each other.

If it’s not life threatening or bringing harm to you and your family then What’s The Real Issue Women Have With Each Other? Stay Tuned for the upcoming segment: The Good – The Bad – The Ugly in Sisterhood Relationships!

Much Love, Peace, and Blessings!

Real Women Revealed (RWR) is so very proud to have had the opportunity to interview Ms. Arlette Pender. Her positive attitude and her goal to promote “Self-Esteem & Self-Worth” to young girls is definitely why I wanted to make sure we all know what she is doing within our community. She is definitely someone I wanted to get to know better because RWR was born on the premise of promoting “Self-Esteem; Self-Worth; and Sisterhood. I appreciate the opportunity to have learned more about this beautiful woman! Please make sure you support her in any way you can.

RWR: When and why did your passion in the hair industry start?

Arlette: -My passion began when I was a young girl..My mother was what they called a kitchen beautician. ..she was a school teacher who was a pillar of the community. ..one of her passions was for young girls and women to look beautiful and her philosophy was if your hair was groomed beautifully it would raise self esteem. ..well the apple didn’t fall far from the tree…I started doing the children in my neighborhood hair at the age of 12, I would braid hair on the steps of my Brooklyn brownstone for $8..A business woman was born…

RWR: In your experience how does your line of work assist with “self-esteem and self-worth” for young girls and women?

Arlette: The beauty (parlor) salon is a very Important place in the community. ..it is where mothers & daughters bond and the art of people style begins…it is a place where stylist see the beauty in their clients and style their hair according to their facial features. ..as an enhancement to the beauty that is god given…What I do with my salon is to raise the awareness in hair care at an early age…we encourage our clients to bring their daughter’s so hair care along with styling is instilled in them…we build self esteem by having them look at themselves and we point out their outstanding features…

RWR: Why did you feel the need to start the “1st Annual Fashion & Talent Show for Young Girls 8-18?”

Arlette: The My Hair Is Beautiful 1st annual fashion & talent show is the completion of the My Hair Is Beautiful workshop, program where we Empower inspire and educate young girls ages 8-18 to follow their dreams to create job for themselves and to love what they see when they look in the mirror. So this is a celebration of self love and pride

RWR: Tell us a bit about the event and what we can expect to see there. (Without revealing too much about the event, because we want to be surprised when we get there .

Arlette: you will see 30+ dynamic beautiful talented and confident young ladies this is a free event and we are also celebrating black history month. .I am overwhelmed by the amount of participants and volunteers not to mention sponsors who donated amazing products for our swag bags for the girls who participated

RWR: Give us some specific information about your Salon such as: where it is located; what you all specialize in; how we can contact you; and etc.
